A year of commits, as a printable object
Your commit year,
cast as an object.
01Form
Four ways to read the same year.
A skyline is the contribution graph stood up, one tower per day. The others fold the same 365 numbers differently, and each one prints without supports.
02/ 04
Ring
The year curls until the last week lands beside the first and the loop closes. From above, twelve months in one glance.
week 52 meets week 01
03/ 04
Wave
The same days smoothed into a single terrain. Ridges where you shipped, valleys where you rested.
one unbroken surface
04/ 04
Spine
Each month collapsed into a single tower. The coarsest read of a year, and the boldest one across a room.
one tower per month
02Finish
Pick what it is made of.
Every finish is a filament you can buy, and the exported kit names the one you chose. The colour is not a render trick: the object is sliced in four shades, one per intensity of the graph.
02/ 04
Obsidian
Matte black on black. The graph survives as relief: you read the year by its shadows, not its colours.
03/ 04
Bone
Warm white over bone. The kind of object a museum shop would sell, except the shape is your year.
04/ 04
Titanium
Four greys under a brushed sheen, the closest a filament gets to machined metal.
03Print
It is a real print, with real numbers.
Sliced in Bambu Studio on the profile the kit ships: 180 mm, PLA Basic, a 0.4 mm nozzle at 0.16 mm layers, on a Bambu Lab A1. That is the slow end: a core-XY machine like the P1S or X1 Carbon takes hours off these numbers. Nothing here is a placeholder.
